About this product
Leave the door open. Keep the flies out.
A magnetic mesh screen that closes itself behind you, fitted in ten minutes without tools.
A door screen only works if it closes every single time, including the time your hands are full and you shoulder your way through. That is what the magnets are for. You walk at it, it opens, and it pulls itself shut behind you.
It fits to the door frame rather than the wall, so there is nothing to swing and nothing to slide, and it comes down again at the end of summer.

What do our customers say?
Company-wide reviews published on Trustpilot. Every public rating is included.
Great service and product. This flyscreen is easy to install and works really well keeping Flys out of the house. The cats are still able to get out their cat flap too. Much sturdier fabric then what you can buy at Bunnings or Mitre 10. Highly recommended
Not only is the screen fantastic, I don't think I have ever had better customer service and communications in my long life.
Thank you so The Screen Door Company, I'll be a customer my whole life.
Keep up the great work.

The most satisfied i have been with a product in a long time. They delivered above expectations. I was looking for a fly screen and ordered with bespoke measurements to fit my sliding door. Their instructions were very clear and the product fits perfectly. Materials are robust, magnets are strong and it looks very good now that it is installed. So much crap is sold online, this company is a stand out. I am a very satisfied customer ( and now flies free:))
I needed a simple to install, simple to use product, to combat incessant flies coming in through our upstairs balcony in Brisbane. The door being open is essential for the all important breeze, but the flies were unwelcome. Magnetic options were not ideal, and traditional fly screen mesh blocks the breeze. Amazingly, the dangling chains block no breeze, do not block the view much as the loops in the chain are quite open, and not a single fly!!! And I can just unhook it and take it down if I do not want it there all the time. Also amazingly, this product was delivered in just a few days, in the days before Christmas. Tick, tick, tick. Highly recommend the product and company for prompt service.
I have ordered 3 screens from the magnetic door company. They are on the outside of my house and I leave them up all summer. They last about 2 years with the wear and tear but I would recommend them - they keep the mosquitos and flies out and are simple to use and do not detract from my view
Fantastic screen door, perfect for the dog to get in and out. Made to the exact custom measurements I asked for. Great quality material. Very friendly, responsive customer service and communication when ordering
this is the second time I have purchased a custom made fly screen for my bifolding doors in the kitchen. the service was great, the installation process was simple. my first flyscreen lasted several years and hopefully this one will last even longer.
I would definitely recommend the screen door company,we ordered our fly screen with no issues,it was quick and simple to order and arrived a week early,it was easy to put up and we love it

Why the magnets matter
Any screen keeps insects out while it is shut. The difference between screens is
what happens in the two seconds after somebody walks through one.
A curtain of strips falls roughly back into place and leaves gaps. A hinged screen
door needs a hand, or a spring, and space to swing. This one has a line of magnets
down the centre seam, so the two panels pull themselves together from the middle
outwards. It closes the same way whether you walked through carefully or backed
through it holding a tray.
That is the whole design, and it is why this suits a back door or a patio door
that stands open all evening rather than a doorway you pass through twice a day.
Choosing your size
Measure the door frame, not the door, and take the widest and tallest points of
the opening.
If your measurement falls between two of our sizes, order the larger one. A screen
slightly wider than the frame still fits and hangs correctly, whereas one slightly
narrow leaves a gap down one side, and the gap is the entire problem you are
trying to solve. Height works the same way.
If your doorway is outside 60 to 180 cm wide, ask us for a quote rather than
forcing a stock size to fit.
Fitting it
It takes about ten minutes and needs no tools and no tradesman.
The screen fixes to the frame across the top and down both sides. Get the top edge
level before you fix anything else, because a screen hung out of true will not
close cleanly down the middle however strong the magnets are. Work across the top
first, then down each side, keeping the mesh under light tension so it hangs flat
rather than bagging.
Because nothing is screwed or drilled into the frame, it comes off again without
leaving marks, which is why it works in rented homes and why people take it down
over winter.
What we do not claim
We do not publish a mesh grade or a magnet count for this screen, because our
supplier does not publish one and we are not going to invent a number that looks
precise. If the mesh grade matters for what you are trying to keep out, ask us
first and we will get the specification from them before you order.
It is also worth saying what a door screen is not. It will not stop insects
already inside, and it does nothing when it is taken down for the winter. Most
people pair one with a swatter or a zapper racket for the few that get in anyway.
Magnetic fly screen door sold by The Screen Door Company in Europe from EUR 30. Two mesh panels held closed by magnets down the centre seam, so the screen shuts behind you without being pushed or latched. Fits inside the door frame with no tools and is removable, which suits rented homes. Available in black and white, in widths from 60 cm to 180 cm and heights of 210 cm or 240 cm. Where a doorway falls between two sizes the larger one is the right choice, because a screen narrower than the frame leaves a gap. Doorways outside that range are quoted separately. The supplier does not publish a mesh grade. Free delivery across Europe on orders over EUR 60, otherwise EUR 22, with 14 days to change your mind on every size.
